I started this business at the beginning of the pandemic, you know when it went from 'just a couple weeks' to 'a couple months', everything was shut down! 

During that time, I quickly realized how much I depended on others for my beauty needs! I was stuck! I mean, I can’t even cornrow nor paint a single nail without it looking like a clumpy mess, stuck!

So, I scoured the internet, YouTube and beauty forums to find beauty solutions that even I could do at home. Once I found styles and other beauty options that would work for me, I ran into a couple of problems.
1. It’s difficult to find hair extensions that actually matched kinky/coily hair types like 4a-4c…especially 4c!
2. The few places that did have those options were crazy expensive! Remember, we were in the beginning of the pandemic and everyone was watching every coin they spent to save as much as they could, where they could.
3. Speaking of coins…most of the options, regardless of price, were for one-time use due to their quality!

I didn’t give up though! Through many trials and errors, I found some amazing styles for hair, nails and even lashes of high quality at pretty good prices! All of my family, friends and even strangers through masks lol began to ask about the products. And my business idea was born!

But, what should I call it? I decided to honor the people in my life that taught me to take pride in my appearance and value the message it sent out to the world. My childhood beauty idol and my grandfather. Yup, grandpa Clyde, did not play about his appearance nor ours!

Bria Clyde Beauty was established and focuses on beauty solutions that we can do at home, use more than once with proper care and stays on or even sets the next trends. And more importantly, provides variety of high quality options to all hair types at affordable prices…hello inflation! Yeah, we are still watching every coin, years into the pandemic. And please don’t get me started on the student loans debacle coming up.
